Pre-medical studies is the 202nd most popular degree in America, with 1,146 students receiving their bachelors degree last year. It just beat out #203 Computer Systems Analysis, and narrowly lost to #201 Legal Support Services.

The degree is offered at a total of 76 colleges across the nation, and is the 213th most widely offered degree. It is only offered at 8% of the Top 100 Best Colleges in America.

It is also worth noting that 48% of colleges offering pre medical studies are public making it a pretty accessible field.

The great lakes produces the most pre medical studies graduates, largely led by University of Notre Dame, while it’s the Mid-American Conference that leads conference totals. As far as states, Ohio ranks highest, with particular help from University of Akron Main Campus and University of Dayton.

All that being said, no individual school produces more pre medical studies graduates than University of Arizona, which graduated 230 students last year alone. Although size is critical, another important factor to consider is the program’s density (the percent of all students that study pre medical studies). More students studied pre medical studies as a percentage of total students at Manchester University than any other college.
