POPULARITY
Management science is the 87th most popular degree in America, with 4,591 students receiving their bachelors degree last year. It just beat out #88 Audiology, and narrowly lost to #86 Geography and Cartography.
The degree is offered at a total of 130 colleges across the nation, and is the 129th most widely offered degree. It is only offered at 11% of the Top 100 Best Colleges in America.
It is also worth noting that 43% of colleges offering management science are public making it a pretty accessible field.
The southeast produces the most management science graduates, largely led by The University of Alabama, while it’s the Southeastern Conference that leads conference totals. As far as states, Illinois ranks highest, with particular help from DePaul University and University of Illinois at Chicago.
All that being said, no individual school produces more management science graduates than University of Alabama in Huntsville, which graduated 381 students last year alone. Although size is critical, another important factor to consider is the program’s density (the percent of all students that study management science). More students studied management science as a percentage of total students at La Roche University than any other college.
