POPULARITY

Computer engineering technologies is the 211th most popular degree in America, with 994 students receiving their bachelors degree last year. It just beat out #212 Commercial and Advertising Art, and narrowly lost to #210 German Language and Literature.

The degree is offered at a total of 74 colleges across the nation, and is the 218th most widely offered degree. It is only offered at 1% of the Top 100 Best Colleges in America.

It is also worth noting that 79% of colleges offering computer engineering technologies are public making it a quite accessible field.

The mid east produces the most computer engineering technologies graduates, largely led by CUNY New York City College of Technology, while it’s the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association that leads conference totals. As far as states, New York ranks highest, with particular help from CUNY New York City College of Technology and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

All that being said, no individual school produces more computer engineering technologies graduates than University of Alaska Anchorage, which graduated 94 students last year alone. Although size is critical, another important factor to consider is the program’s density (the percent of all students that study computer engineering technologies). More students studied computer engineering technologies as a percentage of total students at Pittsburgh Technical College than any other college.
