SALES AND MERCHANDISING DEGREES

UNDERGRADUATE DEGREES

College students majoring in sales and merchandising are rather uncommon. The average subject grants 6,156 four-year degrees a year; 2,473 students received a four-year degree in sales and merchandising last May, making it the country's 127th most popular major for college students. 421 of those students went to one college, CUNY Bernard M Baruch College. 592 of those college students went to schools in Texas.

Undergraduate degrees in sales and merchandising are offered at 62 schools in the United States of America; thus, it may probably be difficult to track down the right school. At the college level, the average major is 3.1 times more universally available than sales and merchandising., making it the 237th most universally offered US field.

GRADUATE DEGREES

While 81% of last year's degrees in sales and merchandising were bachelor's degrees; 19% were advanced degrees. Sales and merchandising is the 162nd most popular graduate degree in the United States of America, with 592 degrees conferred. For some context, the average subject is 4.7 times more popular among graduate students than sales and merchandising.

In Total, 3,065 students received a bachelor's or higher in sales and merchandising last year.

ONLINE SALES AND MERCHANDISING DEGREES

81 of those 3,065 alumni (2.6%) did their studies online - 76 undergraduate students and 5 master's or doctor's students. As you can probably see, sales and merchandising is a hugely unpopular online subject. It is at the moment the 133rd most in-demand online degree, and 84.2% shy of the nation's average of 481 students per subject. For postgraduate students, it is ranked 265th, and is 99.2% below the national average (616).

Western Governors University granted 25 online undergrad degrees, more than any other U.S. school. Last fall, 98,630 undergraduates were enrolled in the college remotely, 100% of their student body. They offer 30 online courses of study, which is 100% of their majors.

Furthermore, Utah graduates more sales and merchandising online students than any other state (38 bachelor's degrees conferred last spring). By itself, Utah graduates 50% of the US' remote students.

Just 3.1% of all bachelor's degrees in sales and merchandising are completed in a comprehensively online program, (0.8% for graduate degrees). 0.97% of Bellevue University's last undergraduate class majored in sales and merchandising totally remote, higher than any other school in America. 17 students in their 1,759 student class were awarded an online undergrad degree in sales and merchandising. They offer 93% of their programs online, and had 7,352 enrolled online undergrad students last fall. That's 90% of the student body.

Four-year degrees in sales and merchandising are available online at 10 schools coast-to-coast, making it the 237th most broadly offered remote American degree. Virtually 1/6th of colleges with the degree even have a completely online option, and private institutions giving out four-year degrees in sales and merchandising outnumber public schools 1.6 to 1. Utah has the most remote programs of any state, with 2 institutions to choose from.

If you would like to study sales and merchandising and like learning at your own pace, you might want to consider applying to Ball State University, as it has the 21st best sales and merchandising program in the country. They also award an additional 112 degrees remotely, so their systems are presumably solid. Additionally, they have 759 online undergraduate students, which is 5% of their total undergraduate population.
