INFORMATICS DEGREES

UNDERGRADUATE DEGREES

It is fairly uncommon to find an American undergrad studying informatics. The average major grants 6,156 bachelor's degrees per annum; 1,308 students last year completed a four-year degree in informatics, making it the 184th most popular discipline around the nation. 501 of those students went to one college, Indiana University-Bloomington, and 606 of those alumni came out of schools from Indiana.

Choosing the right institution for you is probably tricky, due to the fact that 33 colleges around the country offer a college degree in informatics. At the undergraduate level, the typical subject is 5.8 times more widely available than informatics., making it the 328th most commonly available U.S. degree.

GRADUATE DEGREES

While 67% of last year's degrees in informatics were undergraduate degrees; 33% were postgraduate degrees. Informatics is the 154th most popular advanced degree in the United States, with 637 degrees awarded. For some context, informatics is 77% less popular among master's or doctor's students than the average subject.

In Total, 1,945 students received a bachelor's or higher in informatics last May.

ONLINE INFORMATICS DEGREES

233 of those 1,945 students (12%) completed entirely remote programs - 13 undergrads and 220 postgrad students. As you've presumably gleaned, informatics is an exceedingly unpopular online major. It is presently the 208th most in-demand online discipline with 97.3% less online students than the average subject. For postgrad students, it's ranked 90th, and is 64.3% south of the nation's average (616).

Liberty University conferred more online undergrad degrees in informatics than any other US college (10).

Furthermore, Virginia graduates more informatics online students than any other state (10 undergraduate degrees awarded last spring). On its own, Virginia accounts for 77% of the course of study's remote students.

Just 1% of all undergrad degrees in informatics are completed online, (34.5% for postgrad degrees). Liberty University's last undergraduate class had the most dense population of online informatics majors in the United States of America (0.11%). 10 students in their 9,140 student class received an online undergraduate degree in informatics. They offer 33% of their concentrations remote, and had 34,092 enrolled online undergrads last fall. That's 72% of the student body.

Undergraduate degrees in informatics are available fully online at 3 colleges in America, making it the 328th most commonly available remote major in the nation. A touch under 1/10 of colleges giving out the degree even have a totally remote option, and public colleges giving out four-year degrees in informatics outnumber private schools 1.5 to 1. Indiana has the most online programs of any state, with 2 institutions to choose from.

If you want to study informatics and like working from home, you might want to view Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis, as it has the 10th best informatics program in the USA. They also grant an additional 45 degrees exclusively online, so their systems are presumably solid. Additionally, there are 1,201 online undergrads enrolled, which is 6% of the undergraduate population.
