On average, each area of study grants close to 6,000 yearly four-year degrees; 29,618 people last year received a college degree in elementary education and teaching, making it the USA's 21st most popular major. 1,494 of those degrees were awarded at Western Governors University, which has the biggest department in the country. 2,111 of those undergrad students came out of institutions from Utah.
