POPULARITY

Wildlife, fish and wildlands science and management is the 159th most popular degree in America, with 1,761 students receiving their bachelors degree last year. It just beat out #160 Environmental Engineering, and narrowly lost to #158 Child Development.

The degree is offered at a total of 61 colleges across the nation, and is the 244th most widely offered degree. It is only offered at 2% of the Top 100 Best Colleges in America.

It is also worth noting that hardly above eight out of every nine colleges offering wildlife fish and wildlands science and management are public making it a very accessible field.

The southeast produces the most wildlife fish and wildlands science and management graduates, largely led by University of Florida, while it’s the Southeastern Conference that leads conference totals. As far as states, Texas ranks highest, with particular help from Tarleton State University and Texas A & M University-Kingsville.

All that being said, no individual school produces more wildlife fish and wildlands science and management graduates than Front Range Community College, which graduated 107 students last year alone. Although size is critical, another important factor to consider is the program’s density (the percent of all students that study wildlife fish and wildlands science and management). More students studied wildlife fish and wildlands science and management as a percentage of total students at Unity College than any other college.
