College often is an exceedingly consequential time in one's life; it is an occasion for individual growth and maturation. Pupils begin to capture what they want to do with their lives and learn the crucial skills to be a flourishing member of society. But learning is deeper than what one learns in a classroom - the interactions one has with her schoolmates, the life lesson gained from an old instructor, the exposure to a different vantage point. As such, finding a diverse college vastly enhances what you gain from your time in school.

Web Design is a more popular subject among students of color than white students. 38% of the US' Web Design majors are students of other races**, followed by white students (37%), latino students (12%), and asian students (8%). The most racially diverse college* in the top 100 is DeVry University-California located in Ontario, CA.

In addition, Web Design significatly skews female, with practically 3/5 of students majoring in Web Design identifying as women. Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, CA has the most gender balanced student body in the top 100.

Another substantial type of diversity is wealth diversity. Web Design ranks in the top 23% of majors for financial diversity. 29% of its majors come from homes taking in less than $30,000 a year, 17% are from families taking in between $48,000 and $75,000 a year, and 23% grew up in families with $110,000 plus annual incomes. DeVry University-New Jersey is the most socioeconomically diverse institution in the top 100.

Considering each type of diversity, overall AR is the most diverse state for Web Design. The Mid East is the most diverse region, and the is the most diverse conference.
