Physician assistant studies is the 272nd most popular degree in America, with 538 students receiving their bachelors degree last year. It just beat out #273 American Sign Language, and narrowly lost to #271 Family Systems

The degree is offered at a total of 32 colleges across the nation, and is the 334th most widely offered degree. It is not offered at any of the Top 100 Best Collegesin America.

It is also worth noting that 35% of colleges offering physician assistant studies are public making it a relatively inaccessible field.

The mid east produces the most physician assistant studies graduates, largely led by St John's University-New York, while it’s the Northeast Conference that leads conference totals. As far as states, New York ranks highest, with particular help from D'Youville Collegeand St John's University-New York.

All that being said, no individual school produces more physician assistant studies graduates than University of Alabama at Birmingham, which graduated 60 students last year alone.
