POPULARITY
Operations management and supervision is the 98th most popular degree in America, with 3,880 students receiving their bachelors degree last year. It just beat out #99 Exercise Physiology, and narrowly lost to #97 Religious Studies.
The degree is offered at a total of 122 colleges across the nation, and is the 135th most widely offered degree. It is only offered at 4% of the Top 100 Best Colleges in America.
It is also worth noting that more or less seven out of ten colleges offering operations management and supervision are public making it a quite accessible field.
The great lakes produces the most operations management and supervision graduates, largely led by University of Cincinnati-Main Campus, while it’s the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association that leads conference totals. As far as states, Kansas ranks highest, with particular help from Fort Hays State University and Southwestern College.
All that being said, no individual school produces more operations management and supervision graduates than Yavapai College, which graduated 565 students last year alone. Although size is critical, another important factor to consider is the program’s density (the percent of all students that study operations management and supervision). More students studied operations management and supervision as a percentage of total students at Bismarck State College than any other college.
