College can be an immensely productive time in one's life; it's an occasion for individual progress and development. Undergrads attempt to discover their calling and develop many of the essential skills to become a prosperous member of society. But learning goes far beyond a classroom - the late nights discussing Noriega with a schoolmate, the life lesson learned from an old professor, the exposure to a different point of view. Therefore, a diverse student experience vastly improves what you gain from your time spent in college.

Multimedia Art is a less ethnically diverse major than average*. 66% of the US' Multimedia Art majors are white students, followed by students of other races**(16%), latino students (8%), and black students (5%). The most racially diverse college* in the top 100 is Columbia College Chicago located in Chicago, IL.

Furthermore, Multimedia Art significatly skews female, with 64% of students majoring in Multimedia Art identifying as women. SUNY College of Technology at Alfred in Alfred, NY has the most gender balanced student body in the top 100.

Another important type of diversity is class diversity. Multimedia Art is more socioeconomically diverse than 68% of focuses. 28% of its students come from homes with $110,000 plus annual incomes, 16% are from families who earn between $48,000 and $75,000 a year, and 25% grew up in households bringing in south of $30,000 a year.
