2023 Italian Language and Literature Students

College is an awfully impactful time of one's life; it's an occasion for individual progress and evolution. Undergrads try to capture who they hope to become and cultivate the imperative skills to become a successful adult. But growth goes beyond the classroom - the conversations one has with their schoolmates, the life lesson received from an old instructor, the exposure to a different take on things. As such, finding a diverse college tremendously enriches what you gain from your time in university.

Italian Language and Literature is a less ethnically diverse focus than average*. 70% of the nation's Italian Language and Literature majors are white students, followed by latino students (12%), students of other races**(12%), and asian students (4%). The most ethnically diverse college* in the top 100 is University of California-Los Angeles&nbspin Los Angeles, CA.

In addition, Italian Language and Literature significatly skews female, with 64% of students majoring in Italian Language and Literature identifying as women. Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL has the most gender balanced student body in the top 100.

Another significant type of diversity is financial diversity. Italian Language and Literature ranks fairly close to the middle of the pack for wealth diversity (56th percentile). 30% of its majors come from very high income households, 16% are from families that bring in between $48,000 and $75,000 a year, and 25% grew up in families with a sub $30,000 income. Florida State University is the most fiscally diverse school in the top 100.

Considering each type of diversity, overall CA is the most diverse state for Italian Language and Literature. The Far West is the most diverse region, and the Pacific-12 Conference is the most diverse conference.
