2023 Industrial and Product Design Students

College can be an especially consequential time in one's life; it is a time for personal progress and expansion. Undergraduates continue to find out what they wish to pursue and forge many of the needed skills to become a halcyon member of society. But growth goes beyond a classroom - the conversations one has with his schoolmates, the life lesson gained from a tenured professor, the exposure to a different life experience. As such, finding a diverse college greatly enhances what you gain from your time spent at university.

Industrial and Product Design is a slightly more ethnically diverse subject than average*. 54% of the nation's Industrial and Product Design majors are white students, followed by students of other races**(27%), asian students (9%), and latino students (8%). The most racially diverse college* in the top 100 is Kean University&nbspin Union, NJ.

Moreover, Industrial and Product Design slightly skews male, with 44% of majors identifying as men. Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ has the most gender balanced student body in the top 100.

Another important type of diversity is socioeconomic diversity. Industrial and Product Design ranks in the top 37% of majors for financial diversity. 28% of its students come from homes with a sub $30,000 annual income, 16% are from middle income households, and 26% grew up in families that make more than $110,000 per year. Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design has the most financially diverse students in the top 100.

Considering each type of diversity, overall CA is the most diverse state for Industrial and Product Design. The Far West is the most diverse region, and the Big Ten Conference is the most diverse conference.
