Foods, nutrition, and related services is the 101st most popular degree in America, with 3,522 students receiving their bachelors degree last year. It just beat out #102 Computer Software and Media Applications, and narrowly lost to #100 Athletic Training
The degree is offered at a total of 118 colleges across the nation, and is the 140th most widely offered degree. It is only offered at 6% of the Top 100 Best Collegesin America.
It is also worth noting that 74% of colleges offering foods nutrition and related services are public making it a quite accessible field.
The southeast produces the most foods nutrition and related services graduates, largely led by The University of Alabama, while it’s the Southeastern Conference that leads conference totals. As far as states, Texas ranks highest, with particular help from University of Houstonand Texas State University.
All that being said, no individual school produces more foods nutrition and related services graduates than Rio Salado College, which graduated 271 students last year alone.
