POPULARITY

Fine and studio arts management is the 253rd most popular degree in America, with 628 students receiving their bachelors degree last year. It just beat out #254 Music Technology, and narrowly lost to #252 Chinese Language and Literature.

The degree is offered at a total of 67 colleges across the nation, and is the 226th most widely offered degree. It is not offered at any of the Top 100 Best Colleges in America.

It is also worth noting that virtually three sevenths of colleges offering fine and studio arts management are public making it a pretty accessible field.

The mid east produces the most fine and studio arts management graduates, largely led by The New School, while it’s the Colonial Athletic Association that leads conference totals. As far as states, New York ranks highest, with particular help from The New School and SUNY at Purchase College.

All that being said, no individual school produces more fine and studio arts management graduates than Claremont Graduate University, which graduated 142 students last year alone. Although size is critical, another important factor to consider is the program’s density (the percent of all students that study fine and studio arts management). More students studied fine and studio arts management as a percentage of total students at The New School than any other college.
