Undergraduates try to ascertain who they can be and cultivate the imperative skills to become a prosperous member of society. But growth isn't solely found in a classroom environment - the campus dialogue, the nugget of wisdom received from an old professor, the exposure to a different way of looking it. As such, finding a diverse college vastly enhances what you gain from your time at college.

Fashion Design is the 6th most diverse focus *. 38% of the US' Fashion Design majors are white students, followed by students of other races**(30%), asian students (11%), and latino students (11%). The most racially diverse college* in the top 100 is University of North Texas located in Denton, TX.

Additionally, Fashion Design very heavily skews female, more so 93% of subjects. 88% of students majoring in Fashion Design identify as women. The most gender balanced school in the top 100 is Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA.

Another significant type of diversity is wealth diversity. Fashion Design ranks somewhere near the middle of the pack for financial diversity (51st percentile). 28% of its students come from homes with $110,000 plus annual incomes, 16% are from homes who take home between $75,000 and $110,000 a year, and 26% grew up in families bringing in less than $30,000 a year.
