2023 Family Systems Students

College often can be an incredibly revelatory period in one's life; it is an opportunity for personal growth and maturation. Students start to discover who they want to emulate and develop the needed skills to be a thriving member of society. But growth also happens outside the classroom - the discussions which one has with his peers, the nugget of wisdom received from an old instructor, the exposure to a different interpretation of the situation. As such, finding a diverse college greatly enhances what one gains from the time in school.

Family Systems is a less racially diverse focus than average*. 71% of the nation's Family Systems majors are white students, followed by black students (17%), latino students (7%), and students of other races**(4%). The most ethnically diverse college* in the top 100 is Lubbock Christian University located in Lubbock, TX.

Secondly, Family Systems is the the 14th most female dominated focus, with 94% of students identify as women. The most gender balanced school in the top 100 is Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, MS.

Another significant type of diversity is economic diversity. Family Systems is the 29th most financially diverse subject in the United States. 26% of its majors come from low income families, 18% are from upper middle income households, and 26% grew up in families with $110,000 plus annual incomes. Ball State University has the most economically diverse students in the top 100.
