The degree is offered at a total of 59 colleges across the nation, and is the 249th most widely offered degree. It is only offered at 1% of the Top 100 Best Colleges in America.

It is also worth noting that 60% of colleges offering diagnostic medical sonography and ultrasound technology are public making it a pretty accessible field.

The far west produces the most diagnostic medical sonography and ultrasound technology graduates, largely led by Oregon Institute of Technology, while it’s the Cascade Collegiate Conference that leads conference totals. As far as states, Pennsylvania ranks highest, with particular help from Misericordia University and Mount Aloysius College.
