POPULARITY
Construction engineering is the 268th most popular degree in America, with 553 students receiving their bachelors degree last year. It just beat out #269 Trade and Industrial Teacher Education, and narrowly lost to #267 Painting.
The degree is offered at a total of 26 colleges across the nation, and is the 357th most widely offered degree. It is only offered at 1% of the Top 100 Best Colleges in America.
It is also worth noting that 73% of colleges offering construction engineering are public making it a quite accessible field.
The great lakes produces the most construction engineering graduates, largely led by Bowling Green State University-Main Campus, while it’s the Pacific-12 Conference that leads conference totals. As far as states, Oregon ranks highest, with particular help from Oregon State University and Illinois Institute of Technology, which graduated 104 students last year alone. Although size is critical, another important factor to consider is the program’s density (the percent of all students that study construction engineering). More students studied construction engineering as a percentage of total students at Bradley University than any other college.
