POPULARITY

Computer systems analysis is the 203rd most popular degree in America, with 1,140 students receiving their bachelors degree last year. It just beat out #204 Acting, and narrowly lost to #202 Pre-Medical Studies.

The degree is offered at a total of 67 colleges across the nation, and is the 226th most widely offered degree. It is not offered at any of the Top 100 Best Colleges in America.

It is also worth noting that in the neighborhood of one half of colleges offering computer systems analysis are public making it a pretty accessible field.

The great lakes produces the most computer systems analysis graduates, largely led by Kent State University at Kent, while it’s the American Athletic Conference that leads conference totals. As far as states, Illinois ranks highest, with particular help from University of Illinois at Springfield and DeVry University-Illinois.

All that being said, no individual school produces more computer systems analysis graduates than Glendale Community College, which graduated 252 students last year alone. Although size is critical, another important factor to consider is the program’s density (the percent of all students that study computer systems analysis). More students studied computer systems analysis as a percentage of total students at DeVry University-New Jersey than any other college.
