Christian studies is the 282nd most popular degree in America, with 485 students receiving their bachelors degree last year. It just beat out #283 Interior Architecture, and narrowly lost to #281 Recording Arts Technology.

The degree is offered at a total of 67 colleges across the nation, and is the 226th most widely offered degree. It is only offered at 1% of the Top 100 Best Colleges in America.

It is also worth noting that 0% of colleges offering christian studies are public making it a quite inaccessible field.

The southeast produces the most christian studies graduates, largely led by New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, while it’s the Big South Conference that leads conference totals. As far as states, Louisiana ranks highest, with particular help from Louisiana College and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

All that being said, no individual school produces more christian studies graduates than Amridge University, which graduated 148 students last year alone. Although size is critical, another important factor to consider is the program’s density (the percent of all students that study christian studies). More students studied christian studies as a percentage of total students at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary than any other college.
