POPULARITY
Agricultural public services is the 256th most popular degree in America, with 604 students receiving their bachelors degree last year. It just beat out #257 Engineering Science, and narrowly lost to #255 Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution.
The degree is offered at a total of 31 colleges across the nation, and is the 337th most widely offered degree. It is not offered at any of the Top 100 Best Colleges in America.
It is also worth noting that 97% of colleges offering agricultural public services are public making it a very accessible field.
The southwest produces the most agricultural public services graduates, largely led by Oklahoma State University-Main Campus, while it’s the Southeastern Conference that leads conference totals. As far as states, Texas ranks highest, with particular help from Texas A & M University-College Station and Texas Tech University.
All that being said, no individual school produces more agricultural public services graduates than Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute, which graduated 95 students last year alone. Although size is critical, another important factor to consider is the program’s density (the percent of all students that study agricultural public services). More students studied agricultural public services as a percentage of total students at South Dakota State University than any other college.
