2023 Agricultural Engineering Students

College is an especially revelatory investment in one's life; it's a chance for individual progress and maturation. Students attempt to discover what they desire to become and learn many of the needed skills to be a halcyon adult. But learning also happens outside a classroom - the campus dialogue, the life lesson received from an eccentric professor, the exposure to a different vantage point. Therefore, a diverse college experience vastly enriches what one gains from the time spent in university.

Agricultural Engineering is a slightly more racially diverse major than average*. 64% of the US' Agricultural Engineering majors are white students, followed by students of other races**(17%), asian students (8%), and latino students (8%). The most ethnically diverse college* in the top 100 is Rutgers University-New Brunswick located in New Brunswick, NJ.

Moreover, Agricultural Engineering slightly skews male, with two out of every five majors identifying as men. The most gender balanced school in the top 100 is Oregon State University in Corvallis, OR.

Another critical type of diversity is socioeconomic diversity. Unfortunately, Agricultural Engineering is less fiscally diverse than 83% of focuses in the nation. 34% of its majors come from high income families, 17% are from households making between $75,000 and $110,000 a year, and 20% grew up in low income households.
