Why Should I Consider Studying in Utah?
Utah holds a wide range of higher education opportunities, and also boasts some of the strongest technology and research hubs as well. Starting in the state's capital, Salt Lake City, there sits the University of Utah. Often a top 100 contender and boasting strong business and medical programs amongst its more than 25,000 students. Students can enjoy an absurd array of outdoor privileges along the Wasatch mountain front, including multiple world class ski resorts within a quick 45 minute drive.
Less than an hour south of Salt Lake sits Brigham Young University, one of the more broadly known universities in today's age with nearly 40,000 students and identical access to some of the world's best powder. The school receives exceptional marks for business, accounting and computer science in addition to accolades for incredible value.
The area around Provo and Salt Lake City is covered with great options, such as Westminster, and a bit further north there's Utah State University in Logan and Weber State University in Ogden. Moving down south next to Brigham Young University is Utah Valley University in Orem (one of the largest schools in the entire region with close to 50,000 students).
The south of the state also has Dixie State University in Saint George which sits at the gateway so some of North America's most treasured outdoor respites, including Zion National Park. Further east there's the city of Moab, which likewise serves as the doormat to the incredible Arches National Park - but unfortunately higher education opportunities there are limited.
In summary, for ski bums, outdoor enthusiasts and highly driven individuals, it's challenging to find a better place to setup college camp.
