Our Data

Helping students find their perfect college

Authority is building the most comprehensive college student resource in the world.

About our data sources

Insights that makes sense

We don't simply regurgitate endless tables of data like most platforms. Instead, we consume absurd amounts of data from diverse sources, then combine these into digestible summaries and insights, presenting only what matters most.

The quality of a university of course has a significant impact on the college experience, but we find attributes like weather, hiking, snowboarding, surfing, food, the arts and college sports are just as important.

That's why in 2023 we'll be launching a massive overhaul of our content, geared specifically at helping students find their perfect match, not just academically, but for each student's lifestyle as well.

Holistic Data

Effective use of data from numerous authoritative sources means our conclusions represent the entirety of the student experience.

Clarity is King

We simplify the college search with rankings and profiles which present college data so it can easily be understood.

Extensive Data Analytics

Our algorithms are constantly fine tuned and evaluated by our team of data scientists and recent college grads to provide the most accurate representation of the college experience.
