 ### UNDERGRADUATE DEGREES

 It's very easy for undergraduate students to pursue a degree in public health. Each concentration hands out about 6,000 annual bachelor's degrees; 16,962 people last year received undergraduate degrees in public health, making it America's 31st most popular field. The [University of California-Irvine](/colleges/university-of-california-irvine)​ accounted for more of those degrees than any other institution in America (486), and colleges in California awarded more degrees than any US State (2,196).

 It can possibly not be easy to find the best program, given that 406 schools in America have a college degree in public health. There are 2.1 colleges offering four-year degrees in public health for every institution offering the average degree, making it the 55th most broadly available degree.

 ### GRADUATE DEGREES

 While last spring, more or less 50% of degrees in public health were undergrad degrees; 49% were postgraduate degrees. Public health is the 14th most popular advanced degree in the US, with 16,564 degrees granted. For some context, grad degrees in public health are 6 times more popular among master's & doctor's students than the average discipline.

 In Total, 33,526 students received a bachelor's or higher in public health last May.

 ### ONLINE PUBLIC HEALTH DEGREES

 4,278 of those 33,526 alumni (12.8%) did all their studies remotely - 1,003 undergrad students and 3,275 master's & doctor's students. As you've presumably noticed by now, public health is much more in-demand than most online fields in the United States of America. It is at the moment the 32nd most popular remote subject with 108.4% more remote students than the average subject. For postgrads, it ranks 16th, with 5.3 times the average number of postgrads per field (481).

 5.9% of all four-year degrees in public health are completed via a remote program, (19.8% for grad degrees). 37.14% of [Bryant & Stratton College-Online's](/colleges/bryant-stratton-college-online)​ last undergraduate class studied public health remote, higher than any other school in the nation. 26 students in their 70 student class earned an online undergraduate degree in public health. They offer 7 fields completely online, and had 5,020 enrolled online undergrads last fall. That's 100% of the student body.

 There are 71 colleges around the nation with a remote bachelor's degree in public health, making it the 55th most broadly available online degree in the US. In the neighborhood of 1/6th of institutions that have the degree even have a totally remote option, and faintly shy of 5 out of every 9 institutions with the degree remotely are public. Ohio has more remote programs than any state, with 11 schools headquartered there.

 If you hope to study public health remotely, you might want to apply to [Rutgers University-New Brunswick](/colleges/rutgers-university-new-brunswick), as it has the 5th best public health program in America. They also have an additional 32 degrees online, so their systems are probably dependable. Additionally, they have 626 remote undergraduates, which is 2% of the whole student body.

 ### PARTIALLY ONLINE PUBLIC HEALTH DEGREES
