INTRODUCTION

DEGREE STATS

Marketing is the 13th most popular degree in America, with 44,258 students receiving their bachelors degree last year. It just beat out #14 Political Science and Government, and narrowly lost to #12 Finance

The degree is offered at a total of 830 colleges across the nation, and is the 21st most widely offered degree. It is only offered at 19% of the Top 100 Best Collegesin America

It is also worth noting that 48% of colleges offering marketing are public making it a pretty accessible field.

The southeast produces the most marketing graduates, largely led by The University of Alabama, while it’s the Southeastern Conference that leads conference totals. As far as states, Texas ranks highest, with particular help from University of Houstonand Texas State University.

All that being said, no individual school produces more marketing graduates than Phoenix College, which graduated 543 students last year alone. Although size is critical, another important factor to consider is the program’s density (the percent of all students that study marketing). More students studied marketing as a percentage of total students at Menlo Collegethan any other college.
